Waste collection in Croydon
WEDNESDAY Our van is in the CR postcodes every Wednesday. Book it while it's passing.
Next Wednesdays:
Croydon pools its waste services with Kingston, Merton and Sutton as the South London Waste Partnership, recycling around 41 percent of household waste between the four boroughs, above the London average of 33 percent though still short of the national figure. The council also runs a mobile recycling centre that visits estates directly to give fly-tipping fewer excuses. Our Wednesday route covers the whole CR area, the same day as the rest of London.
Every week, our Wednesday route brings a two person crew through the CR postcodes. You book the day, we bring the van that is already coming, and the price stays fixed because the mileage is shared across the whole of Croydon. Sofas, mattresses, appliances, clearances, all on the same visit if you want.
England recycles around 44 percent of household waste, a figure that has barely moved in a decade. The gap is not technology, it is logistics: bulky items do not fit recycling bins, so sofas and appliances end up landfilled while their timber, steel and foam are wanted by processors. A collected load, sorted properly, is how those numbers move.

Croydon questions
What day do you collect in Croydon (CR postcodes)?
Every Wednesday. It is a fixed route day, the same every week, which is what keeps the prices fixed too. Type your postcode on the booking page and it shows the next available Wednesdays.
How much does waste collection cost in Croydon?
The same as everywhere on the loop: a £199 visit covers a single item in full, extra items are £20 each, van loads run £229 to £389, and pianos are £199. That includes the two person crew, all loading, transport, disposal fees and VAT. Secure online payment when you book is what confirms the slot.
Do you really cover all CR postcodes?
Yes, the whole CR area is on the Wednesday route, town and rural alike, at the same fixed prices. If two people can carry it, book it in.
Where does it go after collection?
Loads from the Wed route are sorted at the depot: reuse first, then metal, timber, WEEE and green-waste recycling streams, energy recovery for the rest, landfill last. England recycles around 44 percent of household waste, a figure that has barely moved in a decade. You get photo confirmation when it's done.
